1. Who we are
The website at www.caliphasework.com (the “Site”) is owned and operated by CurrentCraft Solutions, LLC d/b/a Cali PhaseWork (“Cali PhaseWork,” “we,” “us” or “our”), a California limited liability company providing electrical services to residential and small commercial customers in the East Bay, Tri-Valley and surrounding Bay Area communities.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to information collected through the Site and through communications that start from the Site, such as a service request. It does not cover information collected in person at a job site, which is handled under your service agreement and this policy’s principles.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit our Service Request form, we collect:
| Information | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| First and last name | To know who we’re talking to and address you correctly. |
| Email address | To confirm your request, send follow-up and share estimates or job details. |
| Phone number | To call or text you about scheduling, questions and updates for your request. |
| City and ZIP code | To confirm the job is within our service area and plan travel. |
| Service type (residential or commercial) | To prepare for the right kind of job. |
| Urgency | To prioritize scheduling. |
| Job details (optional) | To understand the problem before we arrive. Please don’t include sensitive information such as alarm codes, door codes, or financial or health details. |
| Contact consent | A record that you agreed Cali PhaseWork may contact you about your request by phone, email and SMS. |
We also collect information you choose to send us directly by phone, text or email, such as photos of electrical equipment, inspection reports or property access instructions.
Information collected automatically
- Submission and security data. When you submit the form, our server records your IP address, browser user-agent, the page you submitted from and the date and time. We use this to prevent spam and abuse, and to keep a record of your contact consent.
- Server logs. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, date and time, browser type, referring page) for security and troubleshooting.
- Bot protection. Our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes browser and device signals to tell people from automated bots.
- Analytics (only if you allow it). If you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics collects information about how you use the Site, such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the Site. See section 6.
Information from others
If you leave a public review of Cali PhaseWork on a platform such as Google, we may receive and display your review, rating, public display name and profile photo as published on that platform.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, or health information) through the Site.
3. How we use information
- Respond to your service request, answer questions and schedule visits.
- Send an automatic confirmation email when we receive your request.
- Prepare estimates, perform services, and send job summaries, invoices and related communications.
- Follow up about your request, and after a completed job, ask whether you’d be willing to leave a review.
- Keep accurate customer and job records.
- Protect the Site and our customers against spam, fraud and abuse.
- Understand how the Site is used and improve it (only with your analytics consent).
- Comply with legal, tax, insurance and regulatory obligations, and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your permission. If we ever send promotional emails, every message will include an unsubscribe link.
4. Phone, email and SMS communications
By checking the consent box on our form, you agree that Cali PhaseWork may contact you regarding your service request by phone, email and SMS (text message). These communications relate to your request, such as confirmations, scheduling, questions, arrival updates, estimates and follow-up.
- Message frequency varies with your request. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also email [email protected] or call (123) 456-7890.
- Opting out of texts does not cancel a scheduled service; we’ll contact you by phone or email instead.
- We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
5. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, under contracts or terms that limit their use of it to providing services to us:
| Provider | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Brevo | Delivering our notification and confirmation emails; managing contact lists for request follow-up | Name, email, phone, request details |
| Airtable | Storing service request records for our team | All form fields, consent record, submission and security data |
| Cloudflare (Turnstile) | Bot and spam protection on the form | Browser and device signals, IP address |
| Google (Analytics) | Website usage statistics, only if you allow analytics | Usage and device data, cookie identifiers |
| Website hosting provider | Running the Site and storing server logs | Technical and log data |
| Workflow automation tools | Routing new requests to our scheduling and follow-up systems | Form fields and request details |
| Communication providers | Business phone and text messaging | Name, phone number, message content |
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, the public or Cali PhaseWork, or in connection with a merger, sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the transferred information.
6. Cookies, analytics and security tools
Google Analytics runs only if you choose “Allow analytics.” Until then, no analytics scripts or analytics cookies are loaded. If allowed, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>) that typically last up to 2 years. We do not enable Google advertising features or ad personalization on this Site. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a choice to decline analytics, and analytics will not load.
Your saved choice. We store your analytics choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask on every page. You can change it at any time:
Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our Service Request form to protect it from bots. It is necessary for the form to work securely. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Our own site does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and our fonts and images, including licensed stock photos, are served from our own server.
7. How long we keep information
- Service requests that become jobs: kept with the job record for as long as needed for warranty, insurance, tax and legal purposes, generally up to 7 years after the job.
- Service requests that don’t become jobs: generally deleted within 24 months of your last contact with us.
- Consent records: kept as long as we may contact you and for a reasonable period afterward to show that consent was given.
- Server and security logs: generally kept for up to 12 months.
- Analytics data: retained in Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
8. How we protect information
The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form data is sent to our service providers over encrypted connections, account access is limited to people who need it, and our application files and logs are stored outside the public web directory. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information such as alarm codes or financial details through the form.
9. Your California privacy rights
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”). Whether or not the CCPA applies to a business of our size, we extend these rights to all of our customers:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of service providers we share it with.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site for purposes that would trigger this right.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected] or call (123) 456-7890. We will verify your request by matching the information you provide (such as your name, email and phone number) with our records, and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to verify your identity directly.
Shine the Light. Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, California residents may ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not.
10. Your choices
- Decline or withdraw analytics consent using the button in section 6.
- Reply STOP to texts, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or tell us you’d prefer not to be contacted.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your information as described in section 9.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults arranging electrical services. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party sites
The Site links to third-party sites such as Google review pages and social media profiles. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, tools or legal requirements change. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. If we make material changes to how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll ask for your consent where required.
